How to Enter
The competition is free to enter. To enter:
- Follow @DartsRankings on Twitter.
- Retweet at least one “Darts Power Rankings 2021 Premier League Challenge” announcement tweet by @DartsRankings.
How to Play
There is no cost to participate and submit fantasy picks.
At least fifteen minutes prior to the start of play for each night of the 2021 Premier League, send a message with your fantasy picks for the winners of that night’s matches (or Draw) to @DartsRankings on Twitter, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Only picks for the winner of the match (including Draw) will be considered valid. No picks for other markets, such as total legs or final score will be accepted.
Fantasy picks for a night must be received at least fifteen minutes prior to that night’s published start time. No late picks will be accepted.
To ensure all picks are recorded, please submit your picks in a private message to @DartsRankings on Twitter or by email to email@example.com. We cannot guarantee we will see your picks if you send them via tweet instead of a private message or email. Messages should be formatted with the player matchup on one line followed by your pick for the winner of that match (or Draw).
Here’s an example of one possible message with fantasy picks listed:
Michael van Gerwen v Peter Wright
Gerwyn Price v Rob Cross
Gary Anderson v Glen Durrant
Nathan Aspinall v Dimitri Van den Bergh
Jose de Sousa v Jonny Clayton
Only one set of picks will be accepted per participant for each night’s matches. In the event that more than one message is received from the same participant for the same night of matches, the most recently sent message will be used as the participant’s entry for that night.
Odds and Points Calculations
To ensure a level playing field, the points awarded for each pick will be determined using the event sponsor Unibet’s opening odds as published at https://www.oddsportal.com/darts/world/premier-league/
In the above example, suppose the opening odds were:
Van Gerwen: 1.8
and Van Gerwen won the match. The participant would have selected the correct winner of the match and would be awarded 1.8 points.
Any incorrect pick will result in the loss of 1 point. Any match for which a pick was not submitted will be considered an incorrect pick and result in the loss of 1 point.
How to Win
Participants will be ranked by their Total Points over the course of the 2021 Premier League Darts. Prizes will be awarded to the participants with the top three Total Points at the end of the 2021 Premier League Darts.
